Transformational ChangeWe work closely with our clients to understand where they need to be to successfully negotiate current and future business challenges. Transformational change is achieved through the integration of organisational consultancy, group and one-to-one coaching. The Lauriate team has specialist expertise and experience in leveraging change through the implementation of coaching & mentoring programmes Organisations are under constant pressure to change and develop in response to changes in technology and external marketplaces. At the same time, there is increasing pressure from both governments and consumer lobby groups for organisations to become more socially responsible. To address this many organisations are now supplementing mission and vision statements with corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives involving ‘codes of conduct’ that cover everything from work-life balance to sound environmental practices. This often results in a confusing array of messages that employees cannot readily relate to or integrate into their work. Putting into practice the ideals associated with CSR initiatives and integrating these into existing change programmes has proved to be difficult for many organisations and their leaders. Close examination of what actually happens within organisations often reveals significant discrepancies between the espoused values and the reality of day-to-day organisational life. This creates a host of problems for the organisation not least being dissatisfaction and disillusionment amongst both the workforce and customer base. Companies espousing a specific culture such as the currently popular customer service culture who fail to deliver the results due to poorly integrated systems or inadequate staff development will ultimately lose the loyalty of both these groups. Performance ManagementIncreasingly performance management is seen as an ongoing process rather than something that is done either ‘to’ or ‘with’ employees at set points throughout the year, such as at appraisal time. Effective performance management is something that both the individual, their colleagues and managers engage in every working day. Outdated operating practices and procedures can inhibit good performance management by disempowering employees and placing too much responsibility for performance with managers. At Lauriate we specialise in developing performance management processes that become part of 'everyday working practice'. We believe in promoting individual responsibility for performance and designing processes and working environments which provide people with everything they need to be self managing. |
